Tell us more about who you are and what you do!

My name is Hannah Huante and I run HowHanSeesIt and I am the host of, How I See It, the podcast. How Han Sees it started in 2017 with the intention of promoting authenticity and confidence through my personal style, beauty routines, my lifestyle, and most importantly, through unapologetic realness. The podcast started as an extension of that as a platform where real conversations around mental health, entrepreneurship, and wellness could be heard.

We love your style, tell us about where you find your inspiration?

THANK YOU. I find alot of my personal style inspiration from fashion magazines and runway shows, Pinterest, and menswear (I love an oversized, mens blazer). I love pairing things together that you wouldn’t typically pair together, in a unique way (for example: sweats and a blazer or a baggy denim and pumps). I also find inspiration from my own personal mood. For instance, if I am feeling a bit insecure or maybe facing some self doubt, I make sure I dress in a way that says the opposite… think blazer power suit (I guess it’s a form of positive affirmation practice haha).

We also LOVE your apartment décor - how do you feel home décor and fashion intertwine for you?

THANK YOU. My apartment is a safe haven for me. I think the similarity is in how personal style reflects in both. When someone walks into my apartment, I want them to feel like it’s me. If my loft was in a line up, I would want my followers to be able to tell that it was mine. I also think the idea of space curation is the same way I put together an outfit. A bunch of pieces that work together in an unexpected way to create a unique aesthetic. I also take alot of my inspiration from magazines like Architectural Digest (just like I take fashion inspo from Vogue) and challenge myself to find cheaper, vintage versions.

What are your thoughts on Valentine's Day and how do you like to celebrate?

I’ve always been an Anti valentines girl. I think because I have always been an anti-romantic vulnerability girl (wouldn’t be a Hannah interview without a healing journey call out haha). As much as my cool girl energy wants to deny it, I love, love. I usually like to celebrate with pizza and wine.

What does Self love mean to you?

I think self love is doing the hard work in spite of fear. The healing journey is a tough one, and the commitment to stay dedicated to self growth, learning, and vulnerability is one of the biggest forms of love we can show ourselves.

What are your favorite ways to practice Self love?

I love a good rich b*tch bath (my bath time that I coined because it’s the time I like to unplug and speak affirmations over myself).

What is your ideal date night outfit formula?

Probably denim, a tank top, an oversized blazer, and a pump

Describe your perfect solo date/date night with yourself - where are you going, what are you eating? Give us all the deets!

I would say getting super dressed up (again, probably in a blazer and heels), going to one of my favorite restaurants (Mabel’s Gone Fishing at the moment in North Park, San Diego), getting a gin cocktail, and indulging in their fresh crudo and a cheeseboard.

How are you styling your Just Black Denim jeans this Valentines Day?

I styled my JBD denim with my signature staples… an oversized blazer, pumps, and my clutch. These JBD baggy cargos are incredibly versatile (I will probably restyle them with sneakers soon) and extremely comfortable.

Keep up with @howhanseesit on social media.

Kaylyn Webb
I have a passion for graphic design. I am always trying to think of different ways to solve problems, or any way to improve an experience. My style is very straight forward and neat. I feel that good design doesn't just look good, but is perfect for the client's needs. I love bold imagery with clean and expressive typography. I am very passionate in everything that I do. When I am not designing, I love spending with my family, friends and my dog Louie. I love being outside when the sun is shining, boating on the lake and getting a good run in every day. Some of my favorite things are sushi, bananas, smoothies, Hawaii, styling hair, blogging, drawing, painting, The Food Network, to-do lists, and eggs.
