Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am a Bay Area native currently living in Los Angeles! I have the privilege of making YouTube videos and sharing my passions online as my job! I really get to make videos on whatever topics interest me and I really enjoy making more educational videos. I currently have a sex ed series called Sex Smarts where I cover topics ranging from dating apps to de-stigmatizing masturbation. All I really want is to take part in the normalization of these kinds of topics. I know for some of my viewers this is the first time they are hearing another women speak openly about sexuality and I do not take that responsibility lightly.

What are some of your eccentric hobbies?

I’m not sure about eccentric but I do have a few activities I enjoy partaking in during my free time! I really enjoy my small indoor garden and have just started propagating a few succulents. I’ve also been getting back into embroidery. I was really into it in college and have recently started a few new projects for friends. I am also very into organizing my beauty products… I know most of the population wouldn’t call this a hobby but oh man, do I love creating order amongst the chaos that is my vanity and bathroom

What does a day in the life of Stephanie Villa look like?

No two days are really alike! I work for myself at home so in terms of work I spend a good amount of time on the computer planning out videos, editing my YouTube videos, and working on current side projects. If I don’t make an active effort I wouldn’t really need to leave my house for days so I am thankful that I live in a really walkable area of LA! I enjoy working at cafes near my house for a change of scenery and typically I have a couple events I attend every week. I love cooking so I really try to make a few home cooked dinners a week. The Instant Pot is my jam. If you cook and haven’t pressure cooked, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life.

What's your favorite tattoo and what's the story behind it?

Oof, that is a very difficult question. I really don’t have a favorite but one of my more recent tattoos is a concept I have been wanting to get since I was 18. My girl Emily Leung (@emmbuns) tattooed a rabbit and a snake kind of playfully running/slithering(?) together on my arm. My mom is year of the rabbit and my dad is year of the snake. Typically in images and tattoos these two animals are not getting along so it was important to me to find an artist who could portray what I wanted correctly and it’s absolutely perfect. Emily is an incredible artist

Favorite city to visit?

No matter where I go, San Francisco will always be my favorite city of all time. Northern California is just the most beautiful place you could ever imagine - the CA coastline, redwood forests… and San Francisco is right in the middle of all that beauty. There is no feeling like walking the Victorian lined streets of San Francisco, working up an appetite, and then grabbing a much needed mission burrito.

Favorite way to dress your denim?

Denim on denim, baby! I love a good Canadian tuxedo!  On any given day though you will find me in blue jeans and a tee. Depending on how you style it, that combo can go from casual to ~fancy~ super easily. During the day I’ll wear my Dr. Martens, maybe a hoodie and jean jacket and at night will transition to heeled boots, a heavier coat, and a bold red lip.

What would date night denim look like for you?

I LOVE the JBD black flared jeans - they hit perfectly at my waist and make my legs look so freakin’ long. I’ve worn this exact outfit on a number occasions already: moto jacket, silky cami, JBD black flares, black platform heels, and a patent bakerboy hat that one guy said made me look like I was into SMH (pretty positive he meant S&M)
